Nurses reject raise in contract extension - PA

    The nurses union at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has voted against a contract extension that would give nurses an 8-percent pay raise, said an official of Wyoming Valley Health Care System.
    James Carmody, vice president of human resources, said Tuesday night he had been told Monday night that the system's proposal was rejected.
