Hi again everyone!

I'm starting my first nursing job soon (!) and remember my instructors recommending . I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions? Thanks.

One of the most common is NSO, which is the company I use. Around $100/year, and if I remember correctly they offer a new grad discount. Your own personal is a great thing to have, even though your facility will probably tell you you won't need it because theirs covers you. But when push comes to shove, who are the hospital's lawyers going to be looking out for? (hint: not you!)

Edit to add: here's an article to read about carrying malpractice insurance:

Wow, that's so cheap considering the peace of mind it will give me. Thanks Rose_Queen.

You are a wise one, OP.

It's hoped you won't ever need it, but it's there if you do. And you'll notice on the postings here how many times the respondents advise the posters to contact their carrier for advice on issues that involve their careers and licenses.
