I would check out the LAUSD website and see if they have a job description; This would likely have requirements for the hyper-specific area you're interested in. Also Google "school nurse requirements California" 

The first website that pops up has the requirements for school nurse credentialing in CA. They seem pretty strict, so be aware that you may need experience elsewhere before making the leap.
