Endorsing from SC to TX with two felonies.....

Nurses Criminal

Published

Okay I have been a nurse since March 2011 but haver only been working for 6 months now. I have two felonies one is over 10 years old and the second one is about five years old. I have GA n SC RN license and just recently sent my endorsement application in to texas and transferred with my job here since I'm coming from a compact state. So TX issued me a temporary license but now I have to pay $150 n my file is being sent to enforcement division wait can take up to 4 months n I might not be able to work.....on pins n needles waiting for their decision

I never received a temporary license. So I am happy you were able to get one. I went into enforcement review October 14, 2011. I have two records (each separate offenses), both have been expunged but the problem is that I was disciplined by previous board 13 years prior to expunging record. It was because of the felony charge. I have papers.I have not experience this before with previous BON. I have recieved both LPN and RN licensure without much challenges. At least you can work while they make a decision. But it have been lasting at least 6 months for review. Checking on it does not speed them up, but I know it is hard not to. Good luck.

Yeah i was thankful for getting a temporary license but I tell you what I just don't want to have any restrictions on my license. My temporary just expired and I'm still waiting to see what the verdict is going to be. I haven't had any other problems with the other two BON but texas is didfferent. ONly time will tell will keep everyone posted. thanks for the encouragement glad everything worked out for you. if anyone else have had success please post below....:bluecry1:

They are differenr. I called and spoke with people and all had different answers. Waiting is something.. Hope you hear something soon.

Yes I know they r different but I just thought coming from a compact state going to another compact it wouldn't be that complicated...I have had my share of dealing with these crazy nursing boards bit I'm thankful to have nursing license and I hope I here something soon

yeah i know that every state is different but i was just thinking that comong from compact state to another it wouldn't have been so difficult but I hope i hear something soon if not I'll be working in GA until I do here something
