Nursing license

I attended a Florida school of nursing  in 2019 , finished April, 2021. Shortly after I finished my mother was sick and eventually passed in oct 2021 I was devastated couldn't  take my board exam,while I was still preparing for her funeral, my partner got sick and couldn't make it also . He also died in December 2021. I couldn't  think straight.  All these delayed the board exam . Eventually I decided to do last year , it took the board almost 2months to issue ATT in December. I scheduled the exam for Feb and I passed. In a joyous mood shared this news with a friend and she said that NYBON said there will not be ATT none license for any florida schools. I was disturbed, decided to call the board and they confirmed that investigation is going on all the schools of nursing in florida and they don't know when it will end , that it might takes years. What do I do ? Do I need to start all over again am so confused

With the current situation of "bought credentials/degrees", you may need to start over. See if another school will accept your pre-req credits. This whole situation stinks, because some shady schools and shady people ruined it for honest people. But if you fall in the honest category, hopefully it will work out sooner than later. I don't think you can try to endorse to another state until you have original license in hand

Listening to the news yesterday, it seems many states are now jumping on the bandwagon of  investigating FL schools of nursing prior to issuing license, be it by examination or endorsement

See you are caught up in issue with some Florida nursing school fraud causing NY state not to issue licenses @ this time until investigation complete.  Unfortunately, only the regulatory body where you applied for ATT can release test results;  NY not releasing @ this time to another state as for-profit nursing programs under review. You may have a chance if education from a FL community college or university program well known by NY state.

Consider applying for any healthcare position to get your foot in the door until issue resolved.

Wow , there are 1644 pending applications just from the Palm Beach School of Nursing, yet alone hundreds from other schools. This will be a lengthy review process.

Thanks guys ironically my school is not listed among the scam schools . The program was tough then I travelled to florida  every 3 weeks for clinical  before the covid  and when travelling ban was lifted in 2020 till the program was completed though the lectures were on zoom.

This is so frustrating , I called Florida board  of Nursing during the week and they confirmed that my school is not under review and people that register @ florida board of Nutsing are still getting tested and issue license. At this time I don't know what else to do. Should I  take another test with Florida. I need your input on this guys .

You would need another ATT to test again and in this circumstance, I doubt that you'd get one. Questions like this would be best for the FL BON. You will need to be patient until NY passes a decision on your current status, before you can work there or transfer to another state. Unfortunately, many other states have jumped on that bandwagon and are reviewing ANYONE who's education is out of FL recently. Schools are being added to the list. I know it's hard to wait and you just want to go do the job, but I don't know that anything will change the pace. Be glad, on the other hand, that you're being thoroughly vetted upfront, so that future employers and coworkers won't wonder if you're "one of those FL grads", and you've not had to stop working, as some have had to while their license is under review
