Does anyone have an opinion on good places to start your career as a nurse in the state of Ohio? I have heard from many people that it has become pretty difficult to find nursing jobs in OH; especially if you are a new graduate nurse without experience.

Thanks for your input!

A lot of the big cities are saturated. Your best bet is to get a job as an aide because hospitals hire internally first. Cleveland has the top two hospitals in the state with Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. OSU Medical Center is very good in Columbus as is OhioHealth.

I worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) and later as a Clinical Technician (CT). I really hope that I do not have to become an aide with all of my education and future license... Thanks for your reply!

You'll have a better chance at getting a job if you are in a hospital system than if you are not. Do you currently have a BSN or ADN?
