Seton Austin TX RN residency July 2017

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi I just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the Seton residency July 2017 program. Has anyone heard anything ? I attended the open house on February 10 filled out my applications on the 12, the recruiter emailed me on the 13th for a telephone interview and I've scheduled it for the 20th.

how did you answer the are you hiring at other places questions?

I told him the truth... That I was actively interviewing. He asked if I minded telling him where and I told him St. David's. I was definitely not expecting that question.

I did the same and was worried!

I was reading articles about job interviews and the opinions on how to answer were pretty split.

I will be interviewing next week also at St. Davids.

How did the St. David's interview go?

did anyone attend neuro interview in dell? Do anyone completed interviews and offered any positions?

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone was offered an in-person interview yet? and if so, how soon did you hear after your interview with a recruiter?

I recieved an email from a different Ascension/Seton recruiter wanting to talk about RN opportunities. I told him I had had a phone screening without another representative, and was told to keep a look out for an email for a face to face interview in the next few weeks. The second rep said that if I was not contacted by early next week to let him know. I had an interview with St. David's at the end of last week and accepted an offer. I didn't felt comfortable waiting around for a possible interview. I'll be moving to the Austin area from Dallas, so I can't afford to pass on an offer.

Congrats on the St. Davids offer. I have an interview next week. Can you offer any interview advice? Did you like the facility? I have only heard negative things about St. Davids and hoping they are incorrect.

The position i interviewed for now says "candidate not chosen" but my other apps still say under review.

How many of you received offers? I still have several under review but I'm thinking that this late in the game all positions are filled. Your thoughts?

Hi guys! I'm moving to Austin too. I received an offer from Seton Williamson (their pay is actually really good) but it's too secluded of a town for me. And I received an offer from Seton Main but haven't received the written offer with details on pay. I also had an interview and peer interview at St. David's South and I'm still waiting to hear back! Anyone know if Seton Main or St. David's South is a better hospital for nurses? (Disregarding pay)

Anyone else got offers?
