OccuVAX...? Or other flu/vaccine clinics...

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Wondering if anyone has ever worked for OccuVAX before? Is it legit?

Any other flu/vaccine clinics you know of that I might apply for? I am in Tennessee.

Thanks!

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

I have signed up with them, Maxim, Passport, Summit... Hoping to keep busy while I wait for a hospital job to pan out. Summit requires a year of flu shot experience, which I have prior to being an RN, but the others don't require this, it seems.

Lovelymo,

On the occuvax site it says you may have over 20 vaccinations per hour. Was your clinic that busy ?

I'm a new grad and just signed up on their site, I feel good about it but I am a little concerned about making sure I get all of the paperwork right and keep up the pace. Was it pretty easy to get the hang of it right early on in your clinic?

I do some work for Occuvax. It took a few weeks for them to send me my check but everything was legit. I worked with another nurse for a company sponsored clinic and it was pretty busy. The time went by fast and it was easy money.

Good luck!

im signed up for work for occuvax this season...can anyone tell me how the paperwork part is? is it pretty easy - im a new LPN and working on my RN, but we could use the extra cash (saving for disney world) .. roughly how many hours were available to you each week?

I signed up for them. I also live in Florida. What part are you from?

I'm from Tampa, FL but I live in Gibsonton which is 25-30 minutes from Tampa

I received an email in my spam box from Occuvax and it said that the schedule will be sent out on Monday August 18.

I live in Tampa and signed up with them as well. Just last night

Yay! Maybe we will get to work together

Do you know how the insurance part works?

No, I'm thinking they would explain it more before we go to our site.

Okay that's what I figured
