I'm currently in nursing school and will be graduating in December 2017. I know that I am late applying but I am having a horrible time trying to apply for nurse residency programs. Does anyone have any suggestions on nurse residency programs still hiring this late? I'm up for any suggestions! Also, any advice on nurse residency programs vs. applying to RN positions after graduation? I'm just really overwhelmed with trying to apply and figure out what I want to do and where I want to go from here.

It really depends on where you are in the country and how hospitals your area hire their new grads and organize their new grad programs. In my area (Southern CA), I am still seeing open individual nurse residency positions today which have the intent of starting in early 2018. My advice is to constantly check each hospital you are interested in. I wouldn't worry about being late. Even with your RN you can still start nurse residency programs as long as you meet their other eligibility criteria.
