Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Greetings! I am wondering if any of you are aware of companies or facilities that are willing to hire new graduates? Location is not an issue..

Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the site. I moved your thread to Nursing First Job Hunt Assistance Forum. Hopefully you will get some helpful responses. You might also want to read through some of the other threads in this forum to see if there is anything helpful for your situation.

Good luck in your job hunt!

I believe there may be some possibilities in Texas and Louisiana as I have heard through the grapevine. If location is not an issue, then I would imagine any remote part of any state would be willing to hire you. A friend of mine just went to Rochester NY because they have a local shortage there, but she was experienced and they offered here more money because of staffing issues. SO, I would really just try to find where they have local shortages and you should be ok. Good Luck!

PS...If you can't find a job, go back for your MSN. LOL

I have the exact same question as the OP. I posted something similar and mine was moved the the regular job hunting forum.

But FNP-2-BE that is exactly my question. How do we find out where the shortages are?

People kept saying to do an online search by city but you have to know the name of the city to do that.

I feel like others know something I don't because everyone says this is so easy. I will move ANYWHERE, literally anywhere, but I need to be able to find those jobs and no one is explaining how to do that.

If looking at Texas, be mindful the urban areas are completely saturated. There are places hiring along the Texas/Mexico border and in the extreme rural areas (more than 1.5 hours from a decent sized city). Don't move here without a job offer in hand.

I realize that pretty much any big city in the country is saturated, even the small urban cities. I know I will have to move to a small town. I can totally do that for a year or two. But I don't know how to find these small towns all over the country. I would prefer any podunk town on the west coast but I'll move anywhere.

Texas/Mexico boarder would be good for my Spanish.
