1. During my first injection of a Mantoux serum the needle went through the other end of my skin and I was sprayed with serum. The Mantoux serum was in my eyes, nose and mouth. Is there a possibility that I would contract TB due to this incident?

0%. The fluid only contains protein. It does not contain actual bacteria. If you are concerned, please address those concerns with your healthcare provider.

Now, if you were injecting someone else and had a dirty needle spraying fluid at you, then I hope you took the appropriate actions and reported the exposure per your facility's protocol. That, to me, would be the bigger concern.

You may wish to review how TB is spread.
Here is a link to the CDC website:

CDC | TB | Basic TB Facts | How TB Spreads

If you have further concerns, please ask your Healthcare Provider/MD/NP. Or the facility where you received your Mantoux test.

Thank you, and we wish you well.
