Ok, I'm terrible at interviews in the first place. So to top it off I've been out of nursing taking care of my son, so I don't know what to expect. I have an interview next week. What should I do to prepare? I don't want to look/sound desperate. What are some interview tips?

All things you already know; smile, look your best, and be honest if diplomatic. Project confidence.

Review your resume. I assume this is a job interview, and I have only interviewed for school lately, but look up common interview questions and write out your answers.

Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you! I'm so nervous. I've been at home with my son for over a year. I have an interview for a hospital position & I would be over the moon if I got the job. I could use all the prayers & crossed appendages possible!

Good luck! Read up on the hospital's website, and be familiar with their value statement/core values. Try to think of 4 or 5 questions about the position to show that you have put thought into being a member of their team. I second the advice to have faith in yourself. You have shown through your posts that you have a voice and a sense of humor, show that. Know that your AN friends are rooting for you!!

The other posters have good advice, especially the one about researching the company and thinking of relevant questions to ask. I just saw this and wanted to say good luck. :)

Oh what questions should *I* ask *them*?

I've tried looking on their website for their mission statement & everything else, but it's not on there. What else should I do?
