Good evening,

I am currently a student in the MSN Nursing Informatics program at Western Governors University (WGU) and am actively seeking a preceptor to support my practicum and capstone project.

	The ideal preceptor will:
- be a Master's prepared (or higher) RN with an active license in the U.S.
- hold an unencumbered license in the state where the Host Site is located or hold a multi-state license in another state, which allows Preceptor to practice in your Host Site state.
- have 2 years or more experience with health informatics.

WGU is flexible in that there is no requirement for me to shadow or for any specific time meeting face-to-face. The preceptor and I can communicate virtually or in person. Whatever works best for them!

	I am based in Georgia.

If there is anyone available who would be able to provide preceptorship and mentorship, I would be truly grateful!

	Thank you for your time!

My name is Miriam, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Nursing Informatics at Capella University. I am based in Florida and am actively seeking a qualified preceptor who holds a Master's degree in Nursing Informatics to support my practicum experience.

As part of my program requirements, I need to complete a total of 500 practicum hours. Due to my responsibilities as the sole provider for my family, I am ideally looking for a remote preceptorship opportunity that offers flexibility while still allowing me to meet my academic goals.

If you or someone you know is able to assist, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to connect. I can be reached at (772) 777-0069 or via email at filsmiriame@gmail.com.

	Hello,

I am a Master of Health Informatics student and will be starting the final class in November. I am struggling to get a hold of the major hospitals in my area and the school will not help at all. I believe it is OK to do this virtually. The preceptor must have at least a Master's in Informatics or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience. Would anyone be willing to be a preceptor, or know where else I can look? I truly cannot even get a hold of people by phone. Thank you for any help.

Hello, my name is LaTeisha and I am completing my final two classes at WGU in their MSN-nurse informatics program. My classes have been on hold for two terms now due to my not having a preceptor. I am an RN in New York and the preceptor should be a master-prepared registered nurse who is registered in the state of New York. All of the preceptorship duties are done remotely, there are no required number of practicum hours and the student does not need to present to the assigned site unless the student and preceptor agree upon their meeting. The preceptorship is guided as a resource for the student to fall back upon if there are questions about the project the student needs to complete. Said project does not have to be implemented, it is a mock project

Preceptors do not have to be informatics nurses, they need to have worked in the EMR for the past 2 years and be MSNs. Please help me. Thank you so much.

Hello! My name is Shonda. I live in Northern Michigan and I am quickly approaching the final two semesters in an MSN program at Queen's University for nursing informatics. Despite networking locally, I have been unable to find someone willing to precept. I figured I would try my luck online and see if anyone has the availability to help me complete these final clinical requirements.

My program stipulates completion of a 'Practicum A' and a 'Practicum B', each requiring 150 hours, and the first of which is slated to begin in the Fall of '25. This would largely involve me shadowing you in order to advance my knowledge in the role of nursing informatics.

The school requires that the preceptor:

	1. Possess an unencumbered license to practice as an RN

	2. Have at least a Master's degree in informatics

If you would be willing to help, please consider reaching out to me. Thank-you!

The preceptor must be a Registered Nurse, and masters prepared (e.g. MSN, MBA, MHA, MA, MS) or doctorally prepared (e.g. PhD, DNP, EdD, DNS, DHSc).
