NCLEX here in Manila? definitely good news/idea for all the nurses out here. With the issues we had last year (June '06), i doubt it! It is much better to spend your hard-earned money to take up your NCLEX somewhere than to have it here and to have it retake if the same thing happens once again. That is too much to handle not just by the nurses but most of all their parents. The review centers who were involved are still holding review classes and they became more popular than ever. OMG! i don't know what's goin on! Really! when money talks, people listen.

My sentiments exactly. Sorry to say, I hope that the exam does not get held there, especially after those review centers are still operating. Wonder what will happen then?

The government there has not done one thing to make any changes. All players involved are still playing.

i heard a while ago at the latest news in tv patrol - that cgfns will be pushed thru. now the main issue here is that, the us will not release cgfns screening visa for those who nurses who are included in the june 2006 board exam. it has been truly said by the cgfns that no retake , no visa. well, that's the biggest issue. a good news for the new graduates and a bad:eek: news for the june 2006 boards examiners.

go to www.cgfns.org and use their website for your information, not the news there. get it directly from the source, always the best way to do things.

I agree. Further info regarding the non-issuance of visa screen for June 2006 passers is posted on cgfns web. Try this http://www.cgfns.org/sections/about/news/news/2007/02-20-07_philippines.shtml

hey! so any latest news about the nclex testing site where and when it will be?? lemme know...any news about it?

Take a look at the Pearson-Vue website, that is where it will first be posted and there is no mention of a center opening there yet. The information will always be there first.

Per their website, they have no word has to when the center will open or even where it will be located.

hi! do you think it will open middle of this year? as in july 2007? :>

Impossible for it to be open then. They always announce where the center will be and when it will open. And the current posting about this on the Pearson-Vue website today states that they have no idea of the location or when it will open. And once they announce the actual opening, there is always about three months to make appts for a seat at that site.

They never announce that they are opening a center, and then open the next day.

Remember that this was something that was sprung on them, they did not have the normal time to prepare for opening a center there for this exam.

It is not going to be immediate.

For those of you that have the ATT already, do not count on this center to take your exam in.

Will the NCLEX test site be operational in Manila? or it is just merely an approval ? March began and there is still no news!

The center, if it actually opens, is to be in Manila. But the Pearson-Vue website still states that they have no idea when it will be operational.

Meaning that if you have an ATT, do not plan on testing in Manila. Will be after most ATTs that are out there expire.

"no schedule of implementation has been set."

this is directly from their news release, on their website. any new information will be able to be found on the pearson-vue website. that should always be your source.

no new information has been posted since 20 february 2007. opening of centers has always been posted about three months before it will actually open, so that appointments can be scheduled, and then another 90 days before it opens with a full roster. not one thing has been posted, so figure at least six months from now, if not longer. in the past with the other centers, pearson-vue had advanced notice of centers being needed. not this time.

any updates about nclex here in manila?
