Sunnybroook hiring process

I was very lucky to be interviewed again at Sunnybrook in Toronto last December, wrote their RN quiz and gave them my references for their Background check. 2 of my references told me they were given questionnaires thru email by backcheck(i think they outsource their background check) and an HR staff from the hospital phoned again a week later. two weeks have passed after they told me this but no calls yet.

I'm curious if anybody here recently been hired in this hospital? I was wondering how long should I expect to wait for a follow-up? do they notify you if you're not hired?

it's just maddening waiting for an update.:uhoh3:

Hello ultrarunner,

I know it has been some time since you posted this but I am really curious to know what the outcome was.

I also interviewed recently for a position at Sunnybrook( the holland centre) and would like to know if they would

notify you even if you don't get the job. How long did they take to get back tou you?

I hope you did get the job.

Best of luck and hope to here from you soon.

It takes awhile, they do outsource their background/ref checks. i worked there for a few years. Great place to work. I left sue to high prices of housing in TO but would go back their in a heartbeat. You'll see stuff there that you might not see elsewhere. Icu course is very good, quite afew don't pass, have to take it seriously if you want that. ALot fof my Ryerson crew are still working there especially int he ER. If they are doing backgrouns, as longa s all is okay you are usualy good.

Good Luck.

Hi

I know this is a very old thread, actually I have an interview with sunnybrook next week and I don't know how to prepare for the written quiz. I was just googling and this thread came up. It seems like you guys have experienced the interview process at sunnybrook I was wondering if you guys like to share some of the questions they ask I would really appreciate the help. It would help me prepare for my interview a little better. The interview is for an RN position

Thanks a lotn :)

Hey, I know this tread is up for a while, but I am asking anyway. Maybe some one can help me out. I am an RPN and had an interview a week ago in Sunnybrook Hospital. I felt the interview went well, and I was really hopeful to get the position, but as the days go by I am getting discouraged.

How long is usually to recruiting process take in Sunnybrook Hospital? Should I follow up with the manager?

I would appreciate any advise or idea!!!

Thank you

The post above your first one answers your questions fairly well. Most hospitals, not just Sunnybrook, take at least a couple of weeks to interview the candidates, check references and decide on the incumbent. If you were one of the first people interviewed, you could still be waiting another week or more to hear back. I don't advise following up with the manager until at least two weeks have passed. Some managers don't mind being constantly bombarded by people checking to see if they're going to be hired, but most of the ones in my acquaintance are going to find it very irritating.

Thank you for your reply

Hi there,

I have the quiz the few days. Can you please tell me what is the quiz about? I gave my RN exam in June and I passed my exam. I am reviewing some topics from my old notes. What is the level of the quiz? Is it very hard to pass?? Your help will be appreciated. Thanks

How was the quiz NewNurs01?

Hi there

I was just curious if anyone could enlighten me on what the written test portion of the sunnybrook interview entails? I have no clue what to expect and would love to prep as much as possible! Thanks!

Hi I recently attended the interview at sunnybrook hospital and I heard from my manager that they contacted them regarding my reference, but it's over 2 weeks that I gave my interview. How long normally it takes for the HR to contact if I am getting hired..??
