What's the funniest most unusual baby name?

Nurses Humor Nursing Q/A

As many of you know by now, Kim Kardashian had her baby. As if you couldn't miss all the annoying coverage over every single detail. They named that poor kid North West. What are some of the funniest/weirdest/most unusual baby names you have seen? Could be a patient or someone you know in your personal life. And if you are someone with one of those odd names did you just learn to live with it or would you change it.

Shawntasia was an interesting name I had once come across. My son has an Embassy in his grade. I have no idea what her brother's name is LOL.

Leaf (his middle name is Ridge) and Passionflower

We had a pair of twins named Khyree and Demicus. Not funny names, necessarily, but unique enough that several people stumbled over them in report.

Oh and growing up, I met 2 brothers and have never forgotten their names. Lemongello and Orangello.

No, no you didn't. With the number of people who claimed to have known twins with these names, you would think they would be easier to find. Yet no one named Lemonjello or Orangello has ever registered with the U.S. Social Security Administration. This is an urban legend- one that many people have fallen victim to- even convincing themselves that they once knew or cared for people with this name. Yet the actual people can never be produced.

Right you are, Double-Helix! Maybe somebody has named their pets those names, but even that's a reach.

Okay, so I was engaged to be married, lived at home with my folks and a few months prior to my wedding, my mother made my first Gyn an appointment for me (I was too embarrassed) with the first available doctor. (I preferred a female if possible)

Two months before the wedding my mom and I went for my first check up. She said, "honey speak to the doctor alone" (at first) "then I will come in as he explains procedure" ( a Pap in 1 week) and potential birth control methods ( OC etc)

Well, I sheepishly went in the office when the nurse introduced me to a tall, stoic looking man and said, " this is the virgin young lady that I told you about, then smiled and told me.."this is Dr Hyman"! I can't remember anything else after that!:o I was so embarrassed and speechless...

I kept that doctor for only 2 weeks then felt compelled to change I hated having to tell my fiancé that I was going to have a Gyn check-up by doctor Hyman! (we were celibate prior to wedding)

BY THE WAY i am now married 30 years and have two sons so never had a daughter to share that story, told my now adult nieces and they laughed and laughed were quite amused

I worked at a hospital and we had a doctor whose last name was Anas (pronounced AH-NAS). Occasionally a new operator would overhead page him as Dr. orifice.

I heard from another nurse about caring for a patient in the PICU named Myking and the mom said he has a sister at home named Myqueen.

Not lemonjello, just Lemon. I always pronounced it LAY-mon, kind of French. I could not imagine someone naming their child Lemon. He did tell me I was pronouncing it incorrectly. When I apologized he said, "No, that's fine! I like it the way you say it! Just wish I had thought of it sooner." (He was 58.)

Let me guess... his first name was Buster.

After my last post, I started thinking about various other names I've heard. A great-niece and great-nephew of mine - Lyric and Orion. Kind of cute when I consider the family was kind of scared what names they would come up with (parents are new-age hippies).

Also, my mom told us of a boy in her graduating class (1947) in our very German part of the state. You can imagine the giggling from the Americanized audience when "Henry Schitz" was called forward.

Mom said he changed his name shortly thereafter...
