Hi everyone, i am glad to be a part of this site! I have some questions. This is my situation:
I took my pre reqs online with University of phoenix and my chemistry with another university. The college that I am going to is accepting all of my credits. I need to take the following:
Nursing 1a, b nursing II, III, IV, TIP microbiology and ap1 and 2. First, I want to know if that's a good schedule? I am going to take A&P I in the Spring and then A&P 2 in the summer, in the fall when I start my classes, I will only have the core nursing classes left to take.
I have to take an entrance exam to get in to the nursing program, can anyone tell me what book I could get for a study guide, when to start studying and when to take the test? I am very excited I just wish I had someone to talk to about this. Thank you!!

hi there, you need to find out which entrance exam you will be taking whether its the TEAS or the NLN PAX, there are other entrance exams but those seem to be the most popular in my area, there is a study guide for each of those tests that the testing company usually composes but there is a general book that covers all the entrance exams you can get at barnes and nobles or online its McGraw Hills Nursing School Entrance Exams. good luck =]
Thank you! It's actually the pax testing- btw, how does my schedule look?
if your only going to take a&p I in the spring and a&p II in the summer you should be fine with that schedule, I am not sure what your nursing courses consist of because my school just blocks everything all together and calls it Nursing 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending what semester you are in. It seems like an average nursing schedule though.
Well for me, it's nice that I've taken everything else before nursing. Like child dev and psych and nutrition and electives, English, math, etc. I've taken that so when I'm in my core partnof my two year degree it won't be like a full time schedule. Normally nursing students have to take everything in the span of their two years, I however have completed all of that. So I'm pretty excited about that. I just hope I can get ap in before my core classes start.
