Will graduate soon with an MSN in Education, what experience should I have?

  1. I was an LPN for 9 years, in those 9 years I've worked everywhere From the ED, Psych ED, Corrections, Juvenile Corrections with an emphasis on mental health and substance abuse, LTC/Rehab, and Preop. I've been an RN for 2 years, I've worked Burn/Trauma and in a Level 1 Trauma ED. Since I've only been an RN for 2 years, is there any other experience I should obtain to have an attractive resume once I finish my MSN? P.S. I'm an adjunct instructor at two schools, primarily clinicals and lab however one of my schools offered me the opportunity to lecture which I really enjoy.

You say you want an "attractive resume." What types of job are you hoping to get? Your current resume has enabled you to get some teaching jobs ... and your MSN should improve your resume even further. What other jobs interest you?

I guess I should elaborate more lol, I'm hoping to secure a FT Instructor job preferably tenured at a public college. I currently work for two private schools.

Most colleges and universities require a doctoral degree for tenure-track positions.

Good to know, I have seen some positions available for FT MSN Instructors with Tenure at community colleges in my area however not many. That is my ultimate goal.
