You guys are the best, and you all deserve the money. I have not received an award, but I'm not giving up.
Your encouragement means a lot to me.
Sometimes a credit check does not show up on your report. It happens pretty often, and there's no law that every inquiry has to be counted. So don't worry about that.
If it was in your application and your school certifies that you were in classes, you will get it. If you didn't put it in the application, I would guess that they won't give it to you. But, I am speculating on this. You can review your application online as te link is directly below your status on their page. Also, give them a call, they are incredibly helpful if you word your questions in a way that isn't giving a definitive answer guarantee nor them telling you exactly what you must do; they're full of accurate "advice" though!
Anyone recently awarded?? I'm still waiting. It really sucks because I'm getting excited for my program next month but without this scholarship I won't be able to start so I haven't started buying the things I need for school nor applied for dorming bc I haven't heard from the scholarship. Trying not to feel down but it's hard bc these are the times I should be preparing.
It seems that anyone who hasn't received notification for the scholarship by now basically does not have much of a chance of receiving one. I know there have been a few last year who received notification in September, but those were just a handful out of the thousands who applied. I wouldn't get your hopes up for nothing. Good luck next year.

Did u receive the award? There's no next year for me in this case. I would have to start the reapplying over and it's been 2 years since I've started searching for a school again (if that makes sense)
Yes, that is unfortunate, and I am sorry that you're going through the struggle. But I am a nurse, and as nurses, we are taught to give people the straight answer, and not sugar coat it, or give people false hope and have them "pray" thinking that they may still have a good chance when in reality the chances are extremely unlikely. Not being a debbie-downer here - just being realistic.
Also, if you haven't had a credit check by now, you can basically count yourself out of the running.

I can sense your frustration and you are right, it is good to be realistic. However, and I speak for myself here, I don't think I have ever offered anyone false hope. Any info I provided was based off of last year's thread. Sending positive vibes and encouragement to everyone!
I don't think there's a "straight answer" or false hopes here when no one here knows what's going on with the people behind the nurse corps. If we believe in God or not it's our personal belief and it's not sugar coating but like with anything in life we always have hopes. I'm still hoping and praying until I get the final decision.
Exactly! I believe anything can happen and I am going to stay hopeful until I get an email that says I didn't get the scholarship.
