HLedord, welcome to Allnurses. If you do a search through the Distance Learning threads here, you'll find all kinds of information you need about Excelsior. There are tons of EC students here. Good luck to you in the program!

I took NC1 last month. It was my first exam of any kind with Excelsior and I was a nervous wreck! I did pass it, but I took it with a friend who did not. It was difficult for us, but we are paramedics who have very little experience and did not study much at all. Now Ive learned my lesson and am putting more effort into it. If you have a nursing background Im sure you will do fine. There were quite a few questions that were very similiar to the practice exams so those will help. My problem was I only skimmed the study guide thinking only the main points would be on the test but there were questions from all parts, even those I didnt think would be on there.

:wlcmggrp::hrns&wlcm: Nursing Concepts 1 and 2 come mostly from your Fundamentals book. There are on YouTube some videos for CNA's that actually correspond to what is covered in NC #1 and 2. I don't remember the exact link because it's been a while but I typed in Nursing Skills and scrolled through till I got to some regarding nursing assistant skills. Very helpful for me along with the readings. :wlcmblks:
