Nurses Career Support

Thinking of do this in the near future. Anyone out there with good experience?

I researched several on-line programs, called Universities in my area to see which programs transfered to there MSN, and Nurse practioner programs. U of P is fully transferable as is Jacksonville Fla. however U of P is the most well known and gave me 60 credits in consideration for my ADN. I spoke with a Nurse Practitioner here in Chicago working at St. Joe's who graduated U of P MSN then completed here certification at Loyola U. I think U of P is your best bet everyone is doing it there. Thanks KIM:rolleyes:

I'm searching for online RN to BSN programs at this time. I will be graduating next May and want to start next fall with an online program. Besides UPhoenix I was looking at University of Maryland. Anybody know something about their program? Any feedback is welcome. Thanks,

Anissa

So is one year and one month the standard amt of time for an ADN to complete the BSN at U of P? How do you do your clinical credits?

I spoke with Ally Fuhrman the counselor at U of P and it can take any where from 1 to 2 years depending how fast you work. The semesters are 5 week s long accelarated classes you do one class at a time. You must take 7 days off between classes but can take up to 28 between classes. If you back to back them and don't take any vacations it won't take long. Thanks KIM

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

I completed the BSN completion through UofP in 18 months. You can take more than one class at a time because I did. I will also say that you need to ensure you are getting correct info - I know of no one who did the BSN faster than 18 months. I graduated in May 04 so this is current info. I'm in the MSN program now at UofP and yes, I am finishing it in 11 1/2 months but again, no breaks and I'm doubling classes. Good luck!
