want to study nursing! need your opinions

I have no idea how Hep. C would affect your acceptance/rejection from nursing school.

I would talk to someone in the nursing dept. at your prospective school.

Talk to the School about this issue. No one here will know the rules and standards for you school. I personally knew a guy that went through the LVN program with that had HIV. You might want to consider that your personal medical business is your business, but you must also remember that you will be responsible for anything that could or does happen.

Hi!

I'm 33 and I am returning to school to become a Nurse. If anyone has any advice on where to go to school, what to expect, etc etc....

I have to take 4 classes before I can apply and I live in Denver. Colorado has a year waiting list for Nursing school so I am willing to move anywhere to start school.

HCV cannot stop you form entering Nursing School. You don't even need to mention it and it's against the law if you are discriminated against.

The ADA (American Disability Act) protects you.

Go for it as long as you have the stamina.

HepC should not prevent you from going to school & becoming a nurse. I agree with the prior post -- your status cannot be a determining factor in admissions. Good luck!
