Thank you note after nursing school interview

Hello,

I composed a thank you note to send to the person who interviewed me. I'm looking for imput (Help, PLEASE!) Feel free to tell me if something doesn't work, doesn't sound right (maybe too desperate), or any changes you might make.

Thank you soooo much!

I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with me on Friday, January 1, 2010. I enjoyed meeting with you and learning more about what to expect from the nursing program at XYZ College. Your answers to my questions were very helpful. Thank you for considering me as a candidate for the nursing program. Nothing would make me happier than to become a part of this (need adjective???) team. The new building and especialized facility is very exciting. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding admission decision.

Respectfully,

You really need to spell check that note if you have not sent it. I use to be a nurse manager and when I got typos/poorly written notes, I assumed that nurse was sloopy and would make errors on my unit, too. Make sure you do not send the note electronically, write it out on a nice piece of stationary or a pristine note card (nothing too flowery). I would give a brief introduction, Good afternoon, I was the nurse you interviewed last Thursday about the day-night position on 5600. It was so good to speak with you, see the unit and get to meet some of the staff. I really had a good feeling when I left that this would be a place I could work.

I want to thank-you for you time and how open you were about my potential employment at the hospital. I look forward to hearing from you or the nurse recruiter about the position.

Sincerely,

Cindy Loo-Ho
