As a new grad, choose a job that will provide you with a good orientation -- preferably in a setting that regularly hires new grads. It can be in any specialty -- as long as it is one that appeals to you. There is no "best" specialty for new grads. The best one for you is the one where you like working that type of patient ... in a setting that will help you learn how to be a nurse.
