Different options

  1. I've been an RN working at a rehab/LTC facility for a year now and it's just not the field I want to be in. Sometimes I think it's just the field and other times I think it's nursing as a whole. I don't want to give up on nursing but I'm not sure what else to do. I've been thinking a lot lately about OB but there's not very many openings from where I am. I feel burnt out and irritated a lot of the time and I'm just not sure what to do anymore. Any advice would be nice

I hear you. What do you the least about nursing so far, and LTC? What attracts you most about OB?

It is hard to find an L/D job w/no related experience, but it never hurts to apply. I would think it would help to have some med/surg / acute care exp first. Or you could try working in an OB outpatient practice, if you could find a position.
