Back to school

  1. I'm currently an LPN and I'm going back to school for my RN. I work full time on a med surg unit. My current work schedule won't work with my school schedule so I'm forced to go PRN at the hospital. My main issue is I won't have insurance coverage and I'm also paying for school out of pocket. I want to find a full time job in the evening or at night. Any suggestions?

Anywhere that has openings on nights or evenings? Seriously, however, you probably won't have time to work FT during nursing school. I'm sure RN school will be easier for you based on your education and background, but it's still super time consuming. I'd try something like overnight private duty with a stable patient that doesn't need much and doesn't mind if you do homework while you are there.
