hello and welcome, tonee!

i have had this site for nearly a year now in my favorites http://www.iun.edu/~libemb/nursing/careplan.htm; i hope this helps. if not, type in careplans in your search engine and see what you find. much success to you.

just make sure the nd you pick from these sites is "approved" by your school. there are some that are facility specific. good luck, we started doing care plans at the first clinical of the first year, lol

Ok

what are nursing care plans.

Basically there based on nursing......

Monitor, Manage and teach.

Monitor

What is the problem

Once you have assessed your pt

You will have a number of problems that you must care for

So you develope a plan of action

There is your Long term Care Plans and Your Short Term CarePLans

Prioritize

If a pt is having respiratory distress and turning blue thats an immdiate need

A pt who just had surgery for hip replacement is a long term careplan and a short term, Short term would be care and management of surgical incision and long term Mobility and Rehab

I could go on and on...

Good luck!
