I am a Registered Nurse here in the Philippines but doesn't have enough experience as a Staff nurse. I am currently employed as a call center agent in one of the company here and decided to continue my profession in New Zealand as a nurse for my family. Is it true that they accept registered nurses even without experience but need to pass IELTS, 6-8 weeks training program and CAP exam. I hope you can enlighten me regarding this. Thank you so much and God bless!!!

Compare all the criteria in this pdf, if your nursing program does not come close, then its not accepted, but bottom line is the nursing councils from NZ>
If AHPRA wants to keep the Tasman treaty to continue with the NZ nursing council, then their assessments of overseas nurses will have to be changed.
A year ago, an overseas applicant did not have to have any english test and there is no national exam.
Globalisation truly hit AHPRA - there are no international boundaries, everyone is welcome.

NZ or Australia both countries need experience. You will need to be assessed by the NZ nursing council to find out what they require you to do.
