I'm curious to see what apps other nurses love to use and get some more apps I can be addicted to ;)

My personal favorites are:

Of course AllNurses. Duh.

Figure One

And CEN practice (I'm a nerd).

So what are yours? Can't wait to download some new nursing addictions!

I love nurses pocket drug guide. I pay the $10. It's so worth it for a speedy lookup and no internet.

Fun thread! My favorites (new and old):

- NurseGrid

- Nursing Central by Unbound Medicine

- Read by QxMD

- Medscape

- Medline by Unbound Medicine

- Figure 1

- EBSCOhost app (painfully awful on iOS but still one of my favorites)

- MedCalc (the older version but a new version is available and is free)

- Allnurses

My institution provides Lexicomp for free and I really like that one.

-10 second EM is a quick reference for many things ED. Doc focused but I still like it and use it.

-I have a dedicated conversion calculator. Many of them out there and nice when you need it.

-Medicode for a quick reference ACLS algorithms

-Epocrates

- And a game called Resuscitation. fun one that puts you in the docs shoes.

I download the Resuscitation game last night...I was up until 0130 playing that game. Lol It's very addicting :)

Pill Identifier from Drugs.Com, I believe.

Very helpful in HH when handed a bowl of loose pills... (And yes- happens more than you'd think)

Came in handy a few times in the hospital as well when a loose pill was discovered in the bed or on the floor!

At school, we had to have the Unbound Medicine one. I particularly use the Davis Drug Guide which came as part of it. You can get the Drug Guide separately.

Read by QXmd. Since my facility uses a proxy server to the library I can get most journals to my iPad and iPhone. Next is Papers 3 which I use as a reference manager, to keep track of my PDF's.

I find over the past year or so I don't use apps as much as I used to . Davis Drug guide because the facility I'm at now only uses generic names not trade names and i can't remember half of them.
