Nursing Career Illinois

  1. After, spending 6 year in the military. 5 of which were under honorable conditions I recieved an oth discharge. I was discharge for posession with intent to distribute an illegal substance. (Lsd). I am now a Registered Medical Assistant and am finishing my pre reqs to get into the nursing program. Ultimately my goal is to achieve my DNP. It was a mistake that I am not proud of but am moving forward. I was not and am not a drug user. Should I still apply for the program or is it a waste of time? I called my state board anonymously and they said I should still go for it that these things happen and it was a mistake.

Who did you talk to at the BON- the custodian? I cannot imagine getting a response like that from any board.

    Color me skeptical...
