Hi guys, I have been trying to apply to new grad positions and I had only landed one offer so far. I feel like I need help on my cover letter to make it more attractive. Ive been told to write the following
1. my interest and why including their mission and values
2. why i got into nursing
3. how my experiences fit my role
4. thanking the employer
Quite a bit of it depends on how you put included items together. You may want to post an anonymized version of what you're considering, for feedback.
I kind of question #2 a bit, but if it is succinctly summarized, relevant, etc. it might be acceptable. Again, the exact words chosen may make it really attractive or really "meh."
Post your rough draft if you want.
I agree with the previous post. Putting in some soppy stuff about you went into nursing would be unlikely to appeal to an employer. Focus on the other 3 items and why you would be a great fit for the position. Think about it from the hiring manager's point of few. What is that person looking for in an employee?
