Hello everyone!
First off Happy New Year to everyone! I hope this year will bring much blessings and happiness to you all.
This year one of my resolutions is to get a job no matter what the situation. I graduated from an LPN program in July '10 and took my nclex in September and passed! Now the second hard part is finding a job. I have been having interviews but no call back afterwards =(. I am a new grad and have not worked before in the healthfield. Although I have volunteered at many places Hospitals, Rehabilitations, etc. I start a BSN program in the Fall '11 and I am now thinking that if I were to get a job say at a hospital or wherever, that I would only be able to work for like six or seven months before I move for my school. So I am thinking about agency. Question is does anyone know of any good nursing agency who care about their employees and are good. I want a job for many reasons, to put to use my LPN license, get started in the field to help me exel in my future careers and earn some money because my loan people are on my tail. . Any advise would be grealy appreciate and I thank you all in advance.
Take care.

ScwwcS,
I am also a type one diabetic (dx 1979) and went to nursing school, married with two children now 23 and 25 and have worked several varieties of nursing jobs. I would love to share my experience with you as I am just now on a pump. (I know 38 years as type one and one year on a pump). I worked in several hospitals over the years. My MD, endocrinologist and other nurses were not the best for advice. Nurses helping nurses has always been my way to go. There are a lot of tips and encouragement that I can offer that helped me. This is not medical advice, but my experience as a working type one diabetic. I will tell you that coming out of nursing school was SCARY!! My wonderful instructors worried for me because they had never worked with a type one diabetic NURSE!! They did however offer me very good advice and not so good advice. It has been a wonderful life as a nurse and I plan to work till.....who knows. Please let me know if you want to learn more from my experiences... I have a lot of joyful as well as sad experiences that only improved me as a nurse. Life is a journey that provides several pot holes and deters to help us readjust and move forward. hope to hear from you soon
