Surgeons threaten to quit if Nevada governor won't back tort reform

  1. Six of the 11 remaining surgeons at University Medical Center's Trauma Center in Las Vegas have threatened to quit if Gov. Kenny Guinn doesn't soon commit to limiting malpractice liability in Nevada. UMC has Southern Nevada's only trauma center, and the center would be forced to close or severely limit hours if the doctors quit.

To me, Nevada has some of the most hauntingly beautiful scenery in our country. HOWEVER, the government has it's head where the sun don't shine. I have heard horror stories from teachers, doctors, Native Americans, casino workers, etc. It's sad. I would love to live there. I don't see it getting fixed in the near future.
