and please don't gove us any of those little crappy giftie things. it makes me homicidal. how 'bout some help with transport? or actually working along with us? I would like to take a 30 minute "meal" (whatever that is) some day, too...

so come 'on, administrators, "man" up! :angryfire

How about something like this?

With all the new opportunities nurses have in our high tech society, there are multiple choices for careers. The butterfly depicting spreading one's wings, and being ready to fly into the challenge of something new, or different.

Again no truth in advertising! LOL If truth be told It should be "Nurse Week , celebrate people who choose to work under immense stress, never urinate , and never eat sitting down ! "

But I really do like the fact that they said "profession"

Oh, I don't know, I kinda care about having a heart. Makes CPR so much easier. :rotfl:

Then how about nurses with sweaty, red faces, Eating a hotdog on the run, and a foley catheter hanging on her side?

Ummm... I'd be happy to make a big thing of National Nurses Week if we had, say, "National Accountants Week" or "National Contractors Week."

Having a special Nurses Week is an attempt to give mass hugs to nurses, and as long as it's done, we can safely expect plenty of hugs, bears, and angels to be portrayed.

If nurses are professionals, let's act like we are, and stop wanting meaningless "recognition." Pride in professional practice, and the pay that comes with that is plenty of recognition for me.
