Bush's Medicare fix

  1. President Bush has committed to fixing Medicare, especially to offering some kind of prescription drug benefit. However, his State of the Union speech did not contain many of the specific proposals that have been floated recently about exactly how to make repairs.

    Many seniors reacted very negatively to the idea that they might have to be dropped from medicare to get the coverage.
