Can I be a CNA in Indiana with bipolar depression

  1. I have bipolar depression and mild schizophrenia. I take daily meds and want to pursue a CNA license in Indiana. The physical application asks if I have any mental or physical medical histories. Also, it asks what meds I'm on and to sign that I am telling the full truth.

    Is this legal? Please advise.

Are we talking about an employee form from a potential employer or school or a state application for certification?

Yes, a state physical and application form asks if you have any psychiatric medical issues and what specific meds I am on. Says I must certify everything is true.

Then if I was you I would not falsify a leagal document of the state which you are applying for certification. Usually the penalties for providing false information is way worse than dealing with the situation honostly. Employers do not require information about you mental or physical health besides be fact that you are fit to preform the job.

I knew a CNA in another state with those diagnoses, if that helps.
