I'm planning to work in Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas as RN. I have an aunt (from Connecticut) who also works in Houston, TX. Pls. share your experience. Are there many filipinos in Texas?:p

Yes, there are so many Filipino nurses in Texas. So far I love Texas. I consider it as my home away from home. Have been here since 1992. However, Im not familiar with the hospital you are going.

hello!!! fellow filipino....hahah even though im half!! anyways, i love texas even though i dont live there anymore...hopefully someday it will be my home-state....permanently!! i am a hs student and im also pursuing a career in nursing...........hopefully i'll make it.!!

Texas is great , a lot of filipino nurses working there, I live there few years ago but I did relocate in another state,Im thinking to go back there sometimes next year.

Hey everybody! I'm a nursing student from Houston, TX and I attend Texas Women's University in the Texas Medical Center. I'm a Junior 1 student and just started my clinicals at Memorial Hermann also in the med center. Nice to meet everyone!

well , i like Texas for many reasons, low standard of living , foods are cheap and gasoline is cheaper compare to other state , real estate are great , hospital are graet anywhere in Texas and people are nice too , Good luck..

Im one of the many filipino nurses here in San antonio, Sn antonio is nice affordable,as for the hospital, Baptist has several hospitals here, there some that are good and there are some with horror stories in them, but they are only rumors from fellow pinoys here, Ive never worked there and never worked in a private hospital , always in a teaching hospital is where i want to work, but wherever you are is what you make it.
