Nurse's Wife

My husband (he is the nurse) got an offer from an agency in Fremont, San Francisco, Ca. I want to ask anyone who knows about "Nursing Resources" and "Carex Global Recruitment". Just a simple background check about them... Anyone who has any experience with this companies, please reply.
Thanks a lot...

As I answered in your pm, where are they actually going to place him and at what pay rate? Most of the hospitals in the Bay Area are not doing any petitioning right now, they can get enough nurses that are American or have been here for two years or more and so that they do not need to pay the immigration fees, or wait for the nurse to get over here.
I would be more concerned with that, than anything else. And did they specify the city? Just because they are located here, doesn't mean that he will get placed here.
Thanks for the reply Su.
I gathered that Nursing Resources is a Home Health Service provider and a Health Care Training facility. His work will not be hospital based but I understand that it will be in SF bay area. They are offering $28 starting, $35 or more after adequate training with 2 years contract.
Here in the Philippines, most nurses I know who already left for US were starting with $22-26, So I thought $28 is not bad. I really don't mind if the agency gets $5 dollars from the salary as long as they will do good with the papers, accomodation and will treat us nicely. It's a commercial world, we all have to pay for most of the things we get... (only the sea breeze, the bench in the park... and your opinion is free.. and sometimes even for that, we have to pay a certain price..) They also want to get all my husbands original credentials for assurance that he will not breech contract (he's a bit hesitant, his career life depends on those papers you know), they will return it just before embassy interview. (what dya think about that)
By the way, Why did you say "...In a nursing home? I never, ever recommend those for a nurse coming from overseas, it is the fastest way to lose a license that so much time is invested in getting." What do you mean? Most nurses here think nursing home is a good starting area. Please elaborate.
Thanks again Suzanne:) It's really nice knowing you. I will look forward to your post.

Those wages are really low for San Fran. bay area. If you have a choice please don't accept it. This seems to be another example of American employment agencies trying to take advantage of foreiners. You can go on salary.com and see what he should be earning.

They want to get your husband's papers to make sure he does not break his contract? They can't ask that . Also, like previously stated; the salary is too low for this particular area. Personally I would run from this lot and have another look what is being offered.
