thanks for the support.

unfortunately they double booked leaders. i quickly assessed that the guy that said he was the leader wasn't about to step down for co-lead the meeting with me because he was certain he was the chair. so i readily handed it over and never go to lead the workshop.

such is life, gotta let go of the things i can not change. lol

just remember tweety, you have the experience, the knowledge, and the compassion for this position. there will be others for you; designed just for you my friend. so please kick out those old demons:lol_hitti and refocus yourself. i'm confident you can and will win this one too. you have come so very far. remember, if you fall back you will lose all you have gained, and we all love and respect you here at allnurses. we are here for you.:icon_hug:

i'm at a 12-step round-up in miami. all programs are represented here, but primarily aa and na. yeah poor me in miami having fun in the sun. lol

i'm leading a workshop "men over 40 in recovery" and i'm starting to get nervous. i kind of have my thoughts organized, but i'm beginning to hear old tapes in my head "you can't handle it, you're too nervous, you're boring, everyong will hate it........"

still i think it's good for my recovery to do this, because it's stepping out of my comfort zone. fortunately from what i've noticed at this roundup there is no shortage of folks that like to talk. hopefully, i'll get it started and it will lead itself. fortunately it's a nice warm day and most folks are at the pool.

wish me luck.

tweey, i know you can do it. remember, even though you may not have this opportunity to be a group leader, there will be other times you will have the opportunity to do so. look how far you have already come. refocus yourself. you have already been trained to lead a group by your experiences. who better to lead a group? we are all here to support you my friend.

The committee (in your head) will shut up when you start to speak! You are where you need to be!
