Does the Florida IPN test for kratom?

I have heard of people getting busted for it believe it or not. I would not risk it.

I happen to know quite a bit about kratom. Kratom is not detectable on a normal 12-panel as the alkaloids do not metabolize into any other substance. However, there is a test available for kratom but it is not widely tested for, but I do know that a lot of courts and pain management doctors do test for it, and it could be quite likely that an IPN would test for it. If you could find out if it's one of the substances they test for then you'd know whether or not it was detectable. In other words, it is detectable in a test, but only if they test specifically for that substance.

Yeah I mean it just isn't worth it. Even if you think it isn't tested for you could be wrong. There was someone on here who was busted for it. Even if they don't test for it now they could always test for it in the future. It ain't even all that honestly. I tried it back in the day before I was caught because I thought it would help me stop on my own. It was OK the first time but then it didn't really do anything the next few times and I stoped taking it.

I was told by my IPN "support group" counselor that yes, they do test for kratom. Next they'll be testing for caffeine and nicotine.

I have an acquaintance in Florida IPN who was busted using kratom in that program. That did not go over well for him.

I'm in another state and in our orientation we were told that kratom was randomly tested for as part of our routine screenings. How often, attached to other panels, or a solo test...that I have no idea.

Hi everyone. I know this post is about 2 years old. I was wondering if you would be able to provide any updated information. I’m in IPN and I got in a car accident about a year ago and every day for a year I have had significant back paIn. I’ve even had 2 surgeries which have not worked. Anyways, I want to start drinking Kratom tea to help. I was wondering if IPN still tests for Kratom? I’m struggling here, any information would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you in advance.

They do in fact check for it these days.  Honestly, It is not worth it.  It lingers a very long time, evidence shows it can be even longer than MJ with a 24-48 h half life.  It is not that great to take the chance.  The panel they use O-791975 and will usually be paired with an adulteration panel.

Please do not do that to yourself.  They absolutely test for Kratom.  Why don't you do it the correct way and see a pain medicine doctor who can provide documentation to monitoring that you do in fact have pain and perhaps monitoring might be willing to allow low dose gabapentin or some other less addictive medication that could help with your pain?  Taking the situation into your own hands and treating your pain with a questionable substance at best is the reason you are likely in the situation you are in now.  I'm sorry if I'm sounding tough, but sometimes us addicts have to hear it like it is.  I don't want you to mess this up!  Show them you're responsible and can be trusted and do it the right way.

Many employers now include nicotine levels on preemployment labs

I can't see it being tested for a monitoring agreement as it's not mood altering.

Well it is mood altering just not to the extent that it affects safe practice. I mean I never smoked just cause it tasted good. Many hospitals are now declining to hire people who use nicotine so aside from the health risks it's just not worth it
