My name is Lisa.. im a fairly new rn.. about a yr n half or so.. and im looking for another nurse to "sponsor " me.. similar to AA where they call their sponsor with any issues/ideas/ or to use as a sounding board. I feel as new nurses we should all have a sponsor or mentor outside of our jobs to offer guidance and unbias advice etc. Id love for someone with a good amt of experience under their belt as well as relating personally ( i have 2 kids , bit of a complicated life) can communicate by email or even instagram ( i dont have fb).. and has the time to help out a fellow nurse. I appreciate it.

Policy and culture can vary greatly (OCEANS APART) from one place to the next. It's best to look for supportive, experienced nurses where you work. They're usually around and usually willing to help. Just make sure you look for ways that you might be able to help them, in return.

I think most, if not all users on here prefer to remain totally anonymous. I think you will have trouble finding someone to be a mentor on here, as the last poster said you may want to look for one where you work, or in your area.
