You are reading page 3 of Denied by CABON now to take LVN..

Sitting for the NCLEX-PN is a possibility because in CA the RN & LVN board are two seperate boards. You may quality for the PN exam because from what I remember there is nothing on the website asking for concurrency in clinical and theory. The thing is that the BVNPT requires more clinical time than the BRN. Clinical experiences in the Philipppines is way beyond that. Good Luck

not so sure if the CA BRN will only transfer our transcript or everything. dont really know what step should i make right now, im still dumb struck with the letter that my analyst had told me. if i were u just to be sure and meet no delays on ur application, just have ur school provide again those school records.

i just dont really get the concurrency since our lectures and clinical duties are practically done at the same time. we mostly had bedside care specific for the lecture rather than being in the OR or DR room coz they give priorities to the seniors to complete their PRC cases. some of the foreign exchange students did not really bother having those 5 cases in each areas. they gave way to the others who badly needs the completion of cases. they only had one or two rotations in OR and DR yet they were granted to take their NCLEX RN exam. would it mean that theyll also lose their license as well as those 2005-present RNs?

I feel you kabayan. We are having ob clinical rotation during our ob theory class, but we don't get all our cases during that sem because of the huge population of student nurses. What the analysts are saying that our clinical rotation must be concurrent to our theory NOT our cases so why are they basing it on our cases? Very confusing.

ok so heres what I did for my application for LVN exam..

1)I just submitted to my school the Record of Nursing Program form that they need to fill up..and requested for a TOR and RLE too..

2)live scan again

3)unlike with Nclex-RN all the documents will need to be submitted at the same time together..application form,$150 check, live scan and the sealed envelope from our school..thats what in their website..)You must submit the sealed business envelope containing the Record of Nursing Program and official transcripts with your

application for licensure. ;;)

They based our clinical cases because when the Maternal and Newborn care was offered, our delivery cases should also be done by the end of that sem which is impossible for some of the students who didn't get the chance to finish after the semester ends or some student didn't have a rotation in the L&D.Same as MED-SURGICAL for our major and minor operations,it should all be done when med-surg was offered in NCM102 AND 104.That's what my analyst told me.

@dragonlady...yes but since my school will still need to fill up the Record of Nursing Program I just asked them to attach the TOR and RLE and I'm not really sure if they will transfer it because of their busy schedule.

Oh i see,my analyst told me to send first my application form together with the live scan, then i'll send a written request with signature with him to transfer a copy of my school documents to LVN board free of charge.

Yeah, i already sent the forms to my school.

Specializes in Oncology/Haemetology/HIV.

Are you seeking to work in the US, and if so, do you already have legal working papers/a prospective LPN job?

My understanding is that for someone to come to US (noncitizen from Philippines) and work as a nurse, they must be RN, LPN does not qualify. It is also quite hard to find a job as an LPN these days.
