Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Congratulations annie! What is your visa? Is it possible to exit Australia after BP and come back for job hunting? I heard that they are only giving 3month visa for the BP students. How true is that? Thanks!

Hi, annev2g, it was nice to hear your success story in australia. Can I ask what school your applied for? I'm also planning on taking a bridging program in Australia.

Just consulted yesterday and the agency said that they will process my application and visa for free. I hope it pushes through!![/quote']

No.. I think, it is required for students who applied for bridging in college of nursing.

I applied for an AFP check upon arrival here. Aside from that, we submitted 100 points of identification together with the downloadable form from their website and have it checked in the police station before sending it through post. But the police check itself was sent through my email.

Hi annie! How were you able to get that visa? since most were given student visa which is only 1 entry. Thanks!

It depends on the school that you enrolled in, if they require student visa or 456 visa.. In my case, they required 456 visa. By the way, 456 is no longer available, they changed it to 600

Hi. would just like to ask. Was it required for you in ETEA to have AFP check? if yes, did the school assisted in your application? if not, how did you go about this? i mean, what website should i go to and what is the 100 points of identification? thanks so much. so far, lonsdale/alpine isn't requiring me to do anything else other than the visa...

Yes, of course. You can't go to the placement without the police check. ETEA just gave the website and we did everything by ourselves. I'll check the website, sorry i forgot it coz I'm at the airport right now, lol, so excited to go back to Phil. :)
