Nurse Refresher Courses in the Florida Panhandle?

Published

Greetings All,

I am new to this forum, and relatively new to Florida, and I was hoping that someone here can give me some information. Does anyone know whether there are any "nurse refresher courses" offered at local colleges or other locations in the Florida Panhandle (Pensacola to Panama City)? I did a web search, but it looks like what little I could find is offered only in the south and central parts of the state.

Thanks in advance and best wishes! :)

Southern Charm,

I am have the same problem finding a Refresher Course. I noticed your email was some time ago...any luck finding a program? One would think that with the nursing shortage programs would be readily available

Thanks,

Ruth B

This reply is pretty late, but UWF is supposed to be conducting an RN refresher course beginning at the end of May. The deadline for registration is May 12, 2006. The classes will be held on Fridays at Sacred Heart, then there will be 12 12-hour shifts with a preceptor at local hospitals. You can contact UWF's nursing department for more information.

Have you checked the county's Vo-tech programs?
