Travel nurse practitioner

Specialties NP

Specializes in FNP, Surgery.

Does anyone know of any travel companies that have travel nurse practitioners? I loved travel nursing and would love to continue after I graduate with my FNP soon. Let me know if you or anyone you know have done this, I'm trying to learn more about it. :wink2:

Specializes in CTICU.

I don't know any companies that do travel NP. However I was hoping to pick your brain a little. I am getting ready to embark on a new page of my career in travel nursing. There are so many agencies out there. Their websites say so much of the same thing? Do you have companies that you would recommend? Any pitfalls I should avoid? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder how credentialing works? Is it done only with the travel agency or does each facility require all that credentialing paperwork?

I'd check out Barton Associates locum tenens - they focus on travel NP jobs, and are very good. They also work with the facility to handle any credentialing related issues on your behalf, so it's pretty painless.

I work with Staffcare and they paid for my DEA, and have contacts to help with licensing, etc. They are getting me credentialed in another state now.
