In large cities (Houston, Dallas/Ft Worth, San Antonio, Austin) it is a very competitive market. Having a BSN helps a lot, as does your experience.

Many smaller cities are hiring, and if you go to the Valley (South Texas closer to the border) they are always hiring, but speaking Spanish is almost a necessity.

Thanks! So there is still demand for nurse job there in Texas? They say its hard but im willing to take every step :)

I just hope there's a big chance for us foreign nurses to seek an employer.. what you think?

Rural areas would give you a better chance. Are there jobs, yes, but there are plenty of people applying for them also.

In the large cities, some positions have 100+ applicants for it.

Lets hope in the next couple of years (with a new Presisdent) Texas does a better job at controlling illegal aliens and making it illegal and jailing illegal aliens coming into the USA. This will help control the illegals coming to USA and abusing our medical facilities

Foreign Nurse will have hard time finding employer to sponsor in Texas or USA. Just like the Philippines, Now USA college are selling the "Nurse Shortage" to sell education to students.

Best way to get a job in USA in Nursing is by Family or Spousal Visa.........
