Hi everyone my name is Katie, I recently started at a new position as staff development coordinator/ADON. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good websites/publications that would assist in my staff development ie; in service material, organizatonal needs, etc. Thanks and let me know

Katie,

Good luck. I am fairly new in my position as clinical educator in the ER. I have only been here since November. I must say that it has been very challenging.

This is a site that has an education program that is computer based for learning about staff development. http://nursing.iupui.edu/LifelongLearning/default.asp

HI Katie,

Congratulations! I am not sure if you have heard of this book, but here it is :

Grif-Alspach, J. (1993). The educational process in nursing staff development. St. Louis, MO: Mosby.

I am not sure if there is a newer edition, but I do know that this book is a wonderful resource. Hope this helps
