I received my award notification via email today at 3:06 PM Central. I will be praying for the rest of you who are still waiting. Don't lose hope; there's still some time left.

I have a question for past recipients or anyone familiar with the Nurse Corps Scholarship program. I spoke with customer service today regarding tuition repayment, and they mentioned that the program only covers tuition paid with federal loans. However, I covered my tuition entirely with private loans, as my school is one of the most expensive in the country, and federal loans wouldn't have been sufficient.

My understanding was that the scholarship covers tuition regardless of the payment method, especially since the guidance booklet doesn't specify anything about private student loans. They were also aware of my school's total yearly cost when I submitted the itemized tuition bill.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation, or can offer any insights? I would appreciate any information or opinions on this matter.

I'd like to know as well. I used Pell, subsidized and unsubsidized loans to pay for school. I wonder if they will refund the Pell or only the loans.

From the 2024-2025 guidelines:

"If a Nurse Corps Scholarship Program participant has taken out a student loan to cover the cost of tuition and required fees for the Summer and/or fall semester(s), while waiting for notice of the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program award, the participant should request that their academic institution prepare an itemized invoice detailing the amount of tuition and required fees paid for the student loans to cover this period. The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program will pay the amount on the invoice. to the academic institution."

They never specified that it was only for federal loans. I would be very upset if that were the case because my Summer term was paid for using only private loans. I would be quick to argue but hopefully they do cover everything.

I think we can get a more direct answer once we're assigned an analyst,  or perhaps submitting the question through the participant portal. I still have to pay $1200 out of pocket in the next couple of days and I'd like to get it back.

Is anybody else still under review(and not final review)? It's already the 23rd and I'm losing hope 😞

I am still under view as well

When you log in, does it say under review under application status or submitted? I received an email in August saying my application is under review, but nothing since.

My application status says submitted. I am not sure if it ever switched after receiving the email that I was under review.
