I just submitted my application to the Nurse Corps Scholarship, I just found out about this a few months ago anyone have any advice or tips? I am most worried by my SAI number. It is within the range but its on the upper end more than lower.

You are eligible if you:
Are a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized), a national, or a lawful permanent resident
Are an accepted or enrolled student in a nursing degree program at a United States accredited school of nursing
Begin classes no later than September 30
Don't have any federal judgment liens
Don't have an existing service commitment
Aren't overdue on a federal debt
Note: Preference to those who need the most help financially.
Why should you apply?
If you receive an award, you'll get a monthly stipend—and they'll pay your
tuition;
eligible fees;
reasonable costs (includes books, clinical supplies/instruments, and uniforms).
Hello everyone. Has anyone heard from previous award recipients if they received their awards closer to the deadline? Im literally checking my email constantly for a COI email every hour and nothing to date. So worried this means Im not getting nada as far as award goes. They have done a credit check in August but now trying to log on and it's constantly saying error... does anyone have any insight to keep my hope alive LOL?
I received my COI and submitted in forms from my school and my portal has updated to participant I called in and asked for a supervisor to confirm information and she told me I am indeed a participant and to wait for an email from my worker

I pray you guys get it it's lots of people turning it down because they don't want to commit or decided not to go to school so there is lots of hope my cousin turned it down as well because she wants to open her own practice after school JUST TRUST BELIVE AND HAVE FAITH I did a lot of fasting and praying and staying out of this chat because it's a lot of negativity and bad spirits keep your mind free and don't stress or worry about it you got this!

May I ask when you did your COI and when you got awarded? Just curious of your timeline. Congrats again, as a Christian seeing your strong faith is uplifting! 🙂

Ughhh I really hope this is true but past applicant have said it is. Everyone says they literally send them out up until the last day.
Whichever the outcome will be I've learned to just accept it.

Does "Completed Closed" mean that a candidate hasn't been selected? I've never seen this terminology before. When my application was on submitted status, it did not say closed. It's worth calling to ask.

For those of us who have not received a COI as of yet. I just spoke to a representative from the customer service center and she advised me that they will be sending out COI's no later than Thursday of next week. She told me that it is safe to assume that if I don't receive one by then that I likely did not get selected this year. She said the reason for this is that they need to give the schools time to complete their portion of the COIs before September 30th in order to complete the award process. So fingers crossed for all of us. 🙂
