I got the email where my application was under review but I tried checking Experian and no hard inquiry yet. Staying optimistic and hoping for other people too! If have student loan debts and they are not delinquent, does that mean they will still run a credit check on you or?

Did you apply for the Nurse Corps Scholarship or the NHSC Scholarship? The NHSC Scholarship group got emails stating their application was under review yesterday (despite being under review for months already). No one there is getting credit checks yet though.

I wondering if those who are seeing there credit check had it yesterday. Mine only showed under the disputes section in the app yesterday (which takes several steps to get to) but today it shows on the main "reported inquires" page.

I wonder if they're actively still making checks or if they did a batch yesterday

I just looked at my report and it looks like they pulled it on Monday. I was wondering the same thing.

I still haven't received anything.... I know there is time but I genuinely & truly thought I stood a great chance especially with my background in working for an underserved community, my LOR's & my essay but doesn't appear that way 😔

I would not be surprised if they do it in batches and that there will be another round coming soon with credit checks. There is a lot that can happen in the next 6 weeks. It is nerve racking but I do think this is a start of their process and more batches will come.

Thank you for the uplifting words. I sure do need it right now 🫶🏼

Pulling credit reports for every candidate doesn't seem efficient to me. It seems unnecessary to pull a credit report on someone who may be deemed ineligible based on their essay or letter of recommendation. It would make more sense to pull credit only for candidates who appear promising for the award and narrow down from that pool. However, it is clearly stated on their website that they pull credit on all applicants, so I'm uncertain about how to reconcile this approach.

I think they need to run credit checks before they can see if you are delinquent on loans.

Even though it says that what you're saying makes sense. I think that when we received that under review email that was then looking at our application and then they pushed the credit check for those in the running. Since there are always expected rejections to their offer... maybe they check another group of peoples credit later on "just in case, like a back-up pool.

who knows

Did you check under your disputes section in Experian? Its shows a list of inquiries there too, which seems to be more accurate

I did... and nothing. To say I'm discouraged & disappointed is a complete understatement 😔

It's too soon. There is ample time.
